Ask for a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. There is no form to fill in and no account to open — you write one email, and a person reads it.
Which of these you have depends on where you live. We act on any of them wherever the law that applies to you gives you the right.
Ask whether we are processing your personal information, what we hold, how we have processed it, and to be sent a copy of it.
Tell us what is inaccurate and we will fix it. Most of it you can also change yourself in your account settings.
Ask us to erase your personal information. You can also do this yourself from inside the app — see below.
Get the personal data you previously shared with us in a form you can take somewhere else.
Where we rely on your consent, you can take it back at any time. It does not undo processing that was already lawful before you withdrew it.
Object to our processing of your personal information, or ask us to restrict it, in the circumstances the law that applies to you allows.
These rights are not absolute. Where the law permits it we may decline a request — and if we do, we will tell you why, and you can appeal. We will never treat you differently for having asked.
Log in to your account settings and update your user account. Your name, email address and any username, phone number or date of birth you gave us are all editable there, without asking us.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. It happens immediately and cannot be undone: we erase your email address and name, together with any username, phone number or date of birth you chose to give us, along with your credentials and the records of any emails we have sent you.
The food catalog content — dishes, components and ingredients — is kept without your name, email address or anything else that identifies you, and is no longer associated with you.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. The app store you bought it from bills it, so you cancel it there: on an Apple device, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on an Android device, the Google Play Store app → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. We cannot cancel it for you, and neither deleting the app nor deleting your account stops the charge.
Write to the address below from the email address on your My Meal account. If you copy the outline beside this, you have given us everything we need to start.
support@mymealapp.coWriting for someone else? A parent or legal guardian acting for a minor’s account, or an authorised agent, should say so in the email. An agent needs to include your written and signed permission before we can act.
We match your request against the information we already hold. If we cannot confirm your identity from that, we will ask you for more — only to verify who you are, and for nothing else.
Then we investigate without unjustifiable or excessive delay, and keep you informed of progress while we do.
We tell you what we did, or did not do, and why. We act on every request in accordance with the data protection law that applies where you live.
Complain to us first — it is the fastest route, and often the only one you will need. Where that does not resolve it, these are the authorities you can go to.
